Didominasi The Last of Us Part II, Daftar Lengkap Pemenang The Game Awards 2020

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Sebanyak 30 kategori terbaik diperebutkan dalam ajang The Game Awards 2020, Kamis (10/12/2020) atau Jumat pagi WIB. The Last of Us Part II sukses memenangkan hadiah terbesar di The Game Awards 2020, dengan membawa pulang gelar Game of the Year. Sekuel hit dari Naughty Dog itu juga memenangkan beberapa penghargaan besar lainnya, termasuk Best Action/Adventure, Best Audio Design, Best Narrative, Innovation in Accessibility, Best Performance (Laura Bailey sebagai Abby), dan Best Game Direction.
Sementara itu, Final Fantasy VII Remake dari Square Enix sukses memenangkan penghargaan Best Score and Music dan Best Role Playing (RPG). Hades meraih penghargaan Best Indie dan Best Action, sedangkan Among Us didaulat sebagai Best Multiplayer dan Best Mobile Game.
Acara malam penghargaan tahun ini disiarkan langsung dari Los Angeles, London dan Tokyo dari tiga lokasi di studio, tanpa penonton alias secara virtual. Pertunjukan tersebut menampilkan pertunjukan musik dari pentolan Pearl Jam’s, Eddie Vedder dan London Philharmonic Orchestra. Ditambah penampilan dari para tamu istimewa seperti Brie Larson, Gal Gadot, JackSepticEye, John David Washington, Josef Fares, Keanu Reeves, Nolan North, Reggie Fils-Aime, Stephen A Smith, Tom Holland, Troy Baker dan Christopher Nolan, yang mengumumkan penghargaan terakhir.
Seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya, The Game Awards 2020 juga memiliki sejumlah pengungkapan besar dan penampilan eksklusif. Diantaranya ialah penambahan Sephiroth dari Final Fantasy VII sebagai petarung di Super Smash Bros. Ultimate berikutnya, serta cuplikan dari Dragon Age berikutnya dan tampilan peta terbaru Among Us.
